I have never been to a chiropractor before in my life, but at the moment, it seems like something that might be a pretty good job. I did not know what I was getting myself into yesterday, when I agreed to help my friend out with a project of his. We were trying to clear out some space to pour concrete. Now I am trying to find a chiropractor in Bakersfield CA because I think I really hurt my back when I was helping him work.
There are a few factors why my back hurts so bad today. One of them is just the amount of back-breaking labor that I did. I probably did a couple thousand shovel scopes, digging out this ground that was full of rocks. The rocks made it a lot harder, because you would dig down and hit a rock, and it would send a shockwave through your entire body.
It was rather unpleasant, but I toughed it out, because I did not want to look like I wasn’t actually willing to help him. I also lifted some stuff that was probably too heavy for me, and I think that is what really did me in. I felt it immediately when I was lifting this one log, and I almost dropped it because of the pain surging down my back. I did not drop it though, which was kind of stupid. Because I think that I hurt my back more by continuing to lift it and to put it into the back of this trailer.
One thing is for sure, I am not going to be helping my friend with projects anytime soon. I think I am probably lucky that I can ever walk today. That is enough manual labor to last me a year, or maybe a few years.
